My
behaviors that I used was time management and to plan things in advanced. I
know it would take time to complete assignments, especially ones that I would
have to interview. I also had to consider the interviewees, since I would want to
give more time to find the best response from the interviewees because not
everyone I interviewed was able to provide me with much information. In
addition to that, the behavior that I developed in this class was to thoroughly
express my ideas and thoroughly research my ideas well.
Tenaciousness
is also about attitude. Talk about a moment or
two when you felt like "giving up." What pulled you through? Do you
feel like you've developed a tenacious attitude during the past two months?
What experience or experiences most contributed to this?
Sometimes
I wanted to give up when I read the assignments and find that I would have to
interview people. I don’t like interviewing or talking to people because I feel
awkward. Seeing that I had to interview at least 5 people per assignment really
made me nervous. However, by conducting these interviews, I felt more relaxed
and more confident, especially hearing that most of them feel the same way
about my opportunity. I enjoyed hearing other people’s inputs about the
situation.
Three
tips. What are three tips you would offer next
semester's student about (1) fostering the skills that support tenacity and (2)
developing the 'tenacious mindset' ?
1) Plan ahead. Even better, to set up a schedule
on when you are planning on watching the lectures, when you plan on interviewing
people, and when you plan on writing the assignment. This point is crucial
because you will have more than one class, so you will be busy. Planning will
help you stay on schedule and not overwhelm you.
2) Be motivated. You might find yourself
becoming less motivated as you see assignments every week, but do not give up!
It is very important to choose an opportunity and product that you are interested
in, so you will never lose interest. Prior to choosing your opportunity or
product, make sure you do a lot of research and this was not last minute.
3) Be open minded. This is important
because not everyone is going to agree with your ideas and your product. It is
important to be open minded about people’s feedback, in terms of comments on
your posts, and even feedback from interviewees. Their ideas and feedback are
going to be beneficial in order to make your product/service better, which
results in a better-quality work.

I can relate to the awkwardness of interviewing people. I myself am very shy and even hate formally talking to people I already know. I'm glad you found ways to overcome this. Open-mindedness is also very important, it can be disheartening to hear when people don't think your product or service will be successful even though you know it's good feedback.
